I Entered an art contest!

I submitted these pieces into the Collective Arts Brewing biannual art contest! Each one is a cymatics image that is set to a self-kaleidoscopic background with various opacity levels applied to each image. The idea: winners' images will appear on all of their brands and labels! Wouldn't that be rad! Image titles in order: Sultry Sonic Sevens, Heart Fires, The Gilded Age, and Rainbow Triplicity. Fingers crossed!

2023 Cymatics Calendar

This 11x17" 2023 wall calendar is PACKED with color and cymatics detail! Each month has a cymatics image with corresponding numerical geometry: January has a 1-fold standing wave, February has a 2-fold standing wave, March has a 3-fold standing wave, etc, and features a sample of the work I released in 2022.

Live Cymatics Projections for Visualizations

I recently had the pleasure of providing real-time visuals behind the incredible band Leon Trout! Using the live audio from the band I created cymatics that were alit by colors also determined by the band's audio via my custom Sound-to-Color software. I then ran live video feed of the cymatics into Resolume and connected that to the LED panel behind the band. The result: pure awesomesauce!

New Software developmentS

Check out these videos demonstrating the results of some new software I'm developing for our Halo Light System! The videos show how I am translating the audio directly to color using octaves in the EM spectrum. I am also working on an app-version of the software to provide various forms of a frequency spectrum visualizer. By playing this with my cymatics I have real-time synchronicity between light color and geometric form both created by the audio input.

A Course in Cymatics

Three classes, one Course
  • Class #1 - Cymatics Defined - This first class we take the time to go over the terminology and basic scientific understandings of the phenomenon of liquid cymatics.
  • Class #2 - Experiments and Observations - I share steps to build a cymatics device I use to demonstrate live experiments and real-time observations of cymatics as we discuss the understandings achieved in the first class.
  • Class #3 - Applications and Beyond - After we are coherent with the science of cymatics I share some insights into the future of cymatics and applied cymatics technologies including biofeedback devices and more. My team at Resonant Devices joins us for a look into the developments we're making in cymatics tech!
